I wanted it when I bought my 04 because my wife will be driving it. It is a LE with everything but the Sunroof, DVD, and Side air bag package, and it doesn't have it. I also looked at an LE with the side air bag package and it didn't have it either. The sales guy said that it is not available on 04 models. Since they had the good deals on the 04s I bought one anyway.

The reason I said I thought some 04's had it as an option is because it was listed in the 04 manual on page 2-29.

That is a cheap solution Evil. I feel a littel stupid payin top dollar. But then again, I'd rather just pay for the shiz out right. & Be done with it. I'm Jealous of you guys that have the time to fart around & make em go faster. It's good enough stock. Where do you find the time to spend it like this.
Bought my LE in january 04. KC 2wd. Has the sonar. I know what's up cause I own it. It's available in 04. Kinda like what I posted. Think I'd lie or what? No fakes roll these machines. Maybe there is a candyass or two rollin on mommy & daddy's coin. As for the rest of us. There is no need to impress anyone.

Earl, What options do you have on your LE? Do you have the Side air bag package with VDC? I'll go ring the sales guys neck that told me that it was not available.

Yes the side air bags came as part of the sat nav option package. Didn't realy want em. But I couldn't find one with sat nav & no side bags. It has the 6 disk cd rockford fosgate upgrade. If it's an upgrade I'd hate to hear the lesser one. Cd is great. Radio is not so great. All le's have vdc. Cool thing I found out. If you leave the door open. After several minutes the truck shuts off the dome light. Dont know if it does it with the key turned to acc. position to play the radio.

OK, The sonar must come with the Side air bag package or the sat nav on the 04s. I wouldn't have paid extra for either one just to get the sonar anyway. MY LE doesn't have VDC, but it is because I have the offroad package. It does have the 6 disc changer though. The rear AV is nice, my daughter can listen to what she wants to without subjecting me to it. Anyway, who cares? We already bought our trucks, and I must say I love mine!

Same here. Dig the truck. Glad I got the sat. When I'm stuck in a long line at a light I can see if the next chance to turn will get me around the light or not. It's really cool for that. I'm still faster with a key map. But setting destination points is comming around. Thought all LE's had vdc,SE's too. Anybody own one that doesn't? Key word (own). Saw a post from a chick that bought an LE with sat & no side bagies. I didn't know they came that way. My wish would have been to get a bench seat with comercial grade vinyl & a rubber floor. Plus all the space shuttel giz.
