I think you're on to something there. Not to mention that 15 years ago, not near as many people were driving around in $50K Mercedes and Hummers.... and we live in a much more litigious society today.

Also remember that the area you live in may have many more people in it than it once did.

I pay $107 per month for my Titan and my wife's 94 Jeep Cherokee. I've had one wreck in my previous car (a Nissan Xterra), but because of my previous good driving record the company did not increase my rates.
My coverage is with Geico, I'm 35 my wife is 34 and we have no kids. We live in southeastern Virginia.

Wow, like I said before I pay about $64 a month and we are about the same age and have the same vehicle. The only thing on my record is my wife had a wreck two years ago. I guess it all depends on where you live.

Location IS a factor and how much you drive as well, keep in mind there
are more but if you live in a rural area and you work commute is 1 mile
you are going to get better rates.

I live in Houston and pay $85 per month. We have two other cars on our policy. My gas saver, old toyata corolla and wife's new corolla. Houston has really expensive homeowners and everything else insurance. But, we have clean records, descent credit and I don't drive everyday since my job requires alot of travel. So car sits at airport parking lot quite a bit. I think that might have helped. Ages 30 and wife 28. We use Farmers...

Yes, like they say; location, location, location.
I'm at about $130mo for two vehicles. Titan and older Exploder.
But Phoenix is a hot bed of stolen vehicles, a big city and we carry higher limits than many younger folks may.
You can save the most with a higher decutable on collision. Beware of too much savings on the front end....you'll pay big time if you need it. On the flip side we have full glass and towing too for 'no extra charge'.
