Stich -

On Titan #1 of 3 that I had (yep, the third one was a charmer... I returned #1 and #2 until they got it right!!) - there was a paint defect on the hood. I was perfectly satisfied with them taking another Titan -- just like it -- off the lot, and swapping hoods. The same thing occurred with a 99 Durango -- back in 99.

Since then, they said they couldn't that anymore, as the numbers match --- everywhere.

There's a sticker on the inside of the hood that matches all the other body panels. Look around - numbers match throughout.

Pulling a "numbers-matching" bed off the assembly line is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet, especially from some of the trolls in these forums.

Anyone seeing their factory sprayed in bedliner turn white?

I've got that exact problem.  I live in a small town west of Atlanta, and I've noticed that I'm getting what looks like white fading in my bed.  I wouldn't call them spots, but it does not look good.

The only thing I can think of is that it's something from the car wash??

The Nissan service guys thinks it's a defect as they have seen some others have it as well, although not as bad as mine.

***UPDATE***

Finally got my truck back yesterday. It has been yet another mess the dealer has put me through. Over two week ago I too the truck in. "It should take two days" they said. On the second day they call and said the new bed had "gouges in the back from the shipping crate. I went and took a look and it wasn't that bad. The paint was rubbed off in 5 places around the tail light cutouts. They had to send pictures and get nissans input. In the mean time they started to repaint the areas in case Nissan said to. Not happy about this but the shop has gotten alot of great reviews on the internet and personal friends. ....Much hassle later.... Went to pick it up yesterday. The paint looks great!! The new bed has the "tailgate assist". This is a great modification they did. The problems now are the "4X4" decals have tons of air under them (was told it will come out with time), the tail gate would not lock ( they repaired this while I waited), and the door behind the driver rear wheel is not flush (They would not fix this).  If someone looks up the numbers, there is a warranty ticket that explains what has happened. Only time will tell if there are any other problems

For now, I am sooo happy to get out of the one legged chevrolet an into a REAL truck with balls again. This time away just reinforced how muck I love this truck.

Happy trails!

Sonny - I would not have settled for scratches, bubbling stickers or mis-aligned panels. Sorry my friend. That's just the way I am -- anal about my investments. They are going to make everything right, right?

Best of luck man - Jim
