im really happy with the volant intake.  throttle response is great.  if you are going to add a spacer, make sure the new intake is compatable.  the spacer also provides an additional cooling factor to the incoming air to help fuel burn better.

I should have my Volant by mid-next week. Time to move on to mod #2. You mention the TBS needs to be compatable with the intake. What TBS is compatable? I had an Airaid on a truck years ago and would probably go for the same brand again. Will it work?

I received the Volant and had it installed tonight. Noticeable increase in sound from under the hood. I'm wishing I would have added the scoop to the order now that I have it installed. Does anyone have experience with the scoop? I've read/heard all the horror stories about the problems with getting water in the engine through the scoop, but I don't think I'll be getting into that type of environment here in FL.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the scoop?

Thanks in advance...

I installed my intake recently, and have noticed a change in acceleration. But, I have a question to those who have one of these: Does everything fit snug, or do you have a little bit of space? Meaning, that the cover on the air box isn't exactly tight, with a little bit of a bow in it. Also, where the filter comes out of the air box, it isn't flush with the outside, leaving a very small gap around it. Are these problems serious or normal?

Volant is well known for horrible fitment issues.  That is why they are now on their 3rd version of their CAI for the Titan and are now making a recessed aluminum lid.

How could I go about gettin one of those aluminum lids? I mean, I don't think I'm losing that much air, because I have gotten some great gains with it.

The guys I know have contacted Volant directly concerning their Gen1/Gen2 fitment issues.  Try contacting them and see what they will do for you.  I keep hearing the name "Joe" as a person most people talk to, but I don't know his contact info.

i just ordered the gibson single side exhaust and the k&n intake.  all of this stuff is pretty straight forward bolt on performance right?  what is this about resetting the trucks computer?  any other tips would be greatly appreciated as i am hoping to do both pipes and intake this weekend by myself.  is it hard to do the gibson exhaust by yourself?   please give me some input

I don't know about the exhaust, but the intake should be fairly simple. A couple of loosened nuts and screws, exchange, retighten, and you'll be there in about 1-2 hours. I had my exhaust done for me.
