Let me put in my 2cents. My drivers seat squeaked so bad I
wouldn't drive the truck. All the dealer did to fix the squeak
was take out both seats, grease the connection points at the floor and
tighten them back down. I can't say it makes sence to me but it
quit squeaking so I'm happy. Good luck.

It's funny you should be replying today because I just got back from my 1.5 hour round-trip truck drop off...AGAIN...for the squeaky seat. This is the third attempt to fix it. I told the Manager that Nissan needed to give me a new seat or a new truck, I didn't care which. I bought the truck new, so they are on notice that if the third time is not a charm, I'm going after the lemon law resolution process. She understood. She's been trying to get a response from Nissan for the past three weeks since the truck went in for the second time for the seat. She claims Nissan isn't answering her emails. I'd like to say "that's not my problem," but I'm the one suffering with this irritating noise in the meantime, so I guess it is my problem.
Thank you for the suggestion on one way to tackle the problem. How long has your "fix" worked so far?

I've had the passenger seat frame repalced twice now and the second one seems to be working fine ...at least for now. The first time I had it replaced it lasted about 4 months and started squeaking again so hopefully I won't have to do it again.

I picked my truck up last night after their third attempt at fixing the problem. They supposedly even took it out for a test drive afterward. As soon as I pulled out of the lot it started squeaking again. Because I picked up the truck as the Nissan shop was closing, I had to wait until this morning to call the manager. I told her I'd be back this afternoon to take her for a ride myself so she could hear it. We hadn't gotten 100 yards from the store when the squeak started. We drove around a bit so the Tech could try a figure out where it was coming from. He thinks it's a bad spring or something, so they're ordering me a new seat. We'll see....

Amy & Jesse,
I have been so dissapointed at the quality of the assembly of this
truck. I only bought it because I bought a big boat and now I'm
regretting both of them. So to be honest I don't drive it very
much, I've only put about 200miles on it since they "lubed" it
up. I fully expect the seat to start squeaking again at any
moment because why would greasing the mounts make any difference?
It shouldn't. Mine was so bad that ANY shift in weight would cause it
to squeak... LOUDLY!!! If I had it in 3 times and they hadn't
fixed it: I'd make em keep it. It's not worth the headache.
I've already had to have the motor and transmission mounts
tightened. I know the rear end has something loose in it as it
bangs everytime you go over a speed bump, but they haven't found the
problem yet. And they can't seem to get it aligned
correctly. How I've been dealing with this stuff is to
print off whatever this forum has that's relavent. I hi-light it
and give it to the service guy and tell him "don't be creative, just do
what these people already did". First time I took it in
because it was making a CLANK whenever I accelerated or stopped.
I told them it sounded like a motor mount. They had it back to me
6 hours later and said it was all fixed, just a loose heat shield on
the gas tank. Got in, gassed it, and it made the noise. I
dragged the service guy out and made him go for a ride. Asked him
if it was him or his mechanics that had there head up their ass?
Had the motor mounts tightened within the hour. Where I screwed
up was let them order a new transmission mount. Took a few days,
they put it in and didn't have it lined up correctly. So for the
next 500miles give or take I had to bang the shifter to get it into
park. I keep telling myself at least it's under
warranty. But it sure does get annoying having to take it in all
the time, and it's only got 4k miles on it. I guess I should feel
lucky I haven't had brake problem... yet.
Good luck,
Johnathn

I had the same problem ... it was driving me insane. Tonight I took the driver's seat out and sprayed every piece of metal I could find w/silicon. Even behind the plastic covers below the cusion and the mounting holes in the floor of the cab. The squeek seems to be gone.
BTW ... the sheet metal on the underside is sharp ... sliced a couple of fingers open very easily.

I'm going to print this topic out and take to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, Florida...they're the ones that have been working on mine. I took it back to the dealership yesterday (trip #5 for this same problem.) In theory, they were to replace the seat for me. In reality I got a call from the service mgr at lunch saying that they went to install the special-order seat replacement, but they had ordered the wrong part!
Given how unbelievably p---ed off I am at this point, I was remarkably calm. I made them deliver my still-broken truck to me with the understanding that when the correct seat arrives next week, they will pick my truck up and deliver it back to me, fixed. If this attempt...#6...doesn't solve the problem, I will immediately file for lemon law relief.
I do not blame Nissan for this situation. I'd say it's 10% Nissan (defective seat,) but 90% poor workmanship from Lake Nissan's service department. This should not have taken more than two visits. Period.

My squeak still hasn't returned and it's been 11 days. I guess I did something right.
