Another update on my seat saga...

After failing attempt #5 at the dealership on August 11th, the svc mgr reordered the seat for a 6th attempt (seat ordered was incorrect at visit #5.)  Guess what?!  Today was attempt #6, and they had the wrong seat again!!!!!  They said the first seat that came in didn't have any motors in it.  This second seat had the motors in it, but the "number of wires" to connect it to my truck didn't match!  I asked how they could continue to get the wrong seats in when (if) they're giving Nissan the VIN number.  She didn't know why.

So, attempt #7 will come at some point...If and when they get the right seat in.  This is unbelievable.

Well, most of the problems I have seen on this site I have also experienced.  Brakes, been there, done that.  Scratches after getting back from dealer, been there, too.  Juddering, loose or vibrating steering...that too.  By far the most annoying has been the front seat squeek.

I brought it back to the dealer multiple times, and just got it back today (trip #6 for multiple problems, including 3 for seats, both passenger and driver).  Not as bad as it was, but still squeeks when I turn hard.  They told me that some bolts needed to be tightened.  Both seat backs have already been replaced, and the passenger side stopped squeeking. The driver side continued to squeek.  Well, if it gets any worse, I will bring it back with printouts of this forum.  I will also do what another user on this forum did, and that is demand a fix to the problem or a new truck, it being their choice.

It seems that if you call 1800 nissan1, they will help to get things done.  However, I am dangerously close to calling a lawyer instead.  Love the truck, but hate the fact that I bought a brand new 2005 Titan SE Crew in Feb and it has spent 6-10 days in the dealer's hands due to little crappy problems.  You buy a new car or truck to avoid these things, not to experience them repeatedly.

This is my first pickup, and it comforts me to know that this stuff isn't supposed to be happening, and I should not just "suck it up".

Update to my seat squeek:

Got truck back...doesn't squeek when I drive straight, but does when weight shifts.  I am losing patience, and will call 1800 Nissan1 this week, because this sux.

I went in and checked the bolts that anchor the seat and they were loose so I tightened them and the squeak was gone.  Give it a try, you never know

I see everyone is using the term squeak, I have a kind of creeking sound like when a weld joint gets stressed. It's driving me crazy, When I'm driving I can't really tell where it is coming from, but it does sound like the passenger side. I called the dealer, they said they haven't heard of any noise in the cab.

If your Nissan dealer isnt acknowledging your complaint, take the truck in and have them ride with you.

I have to take mine back again for the passenger-side.

Nissan should really be embarrassed to have produced a vehicle with so many quality-related issues.

I see I'm a little late on this post BUT... my '06 has 2000 miles and the passenger seat (sounds like the frame) has started to squeek. I will try some common fixes read from here and quiet her down on my own. I'm no mech-en-nick though. We'll see how it goes though.
