Hello there. I am a proud member of the bed liner blister club. They took the pictures and I waited several week to hear nothing. They did get me to take the truck back to them to be "repaired". What they did was gring out the bad spot and resprayed the whole bed. This look great!!!!! But one monthe later the blisters came back in the same place. Boy was I pissed off!!!!!!! After taking it back and having more pictures taken and waiting several weeks, corporate decided to change out the whole bed. Great. Right? NOT. After taking the old bed off. The dealer then decided to take the creat off the new bed. It was damaged and had to be repainted. I did not have any sayso in any of what was going on. When I got it back the decals (4X4) was looked like warts under it. The a$$hole manager was not easy to work with. After 6 weeks of bitching they finnaly replaced the decals. Two weeks later while hand washing my truck I noticed the bed is about 3/4" off center. The bed sticks out past the side of the truck on one side and below flush on the other side. They still will not fix this. The truck is fine but the workman ship at the body shop SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone considered a class action lawsuit in regards to the Titan blistering issue?  A recall is way overdue on this issue. My bedliner looks like bad case of acne and noone at my dealership seems to care.  The service manager used masking tape to frame some of the blisters and sent the photos via email to Nissan enginneers.  At least that's what I was told. My wife and I have set up a face-to-face meeting with the dealership owner later this week to hopefully end the lip service and get the ball rolling. Two complete beds were replaced here in Enterprise AL for the same problem, and I would expect the same treatment.  Can someone else speak for any repairs they had done for the same problem.  I hear that PPG agreed to repair some of the trucks in certain areas of the country.  Were you satisfied with the repair and how long did it take?

Demand a new bed. I had the same problem with my '04 and the dealer installed a brand new '05 bed.

Does anybody have any idea what causes this?  A lot of people have had this problem.  Just curious.

Supposedly they changed the process in how they applied it. Not sure if that is actually true or not, but I know my new '05 bed seems to be doing much better.

I have been back and forth with my dealership and Nissan for 6 month on the bubble issue. I noticed the bubbling a couple of weeks after I bought the truck. The dealership seems to be helping but I have finally put my foot down. I have been in direct contact with Nissan and the problem seems to be there. The dealership tried to replace the bed once but the replacement bed was defective with shipping dents and paint runs. I have now been waiting 3 months for a new bed. Katrina did not help. The bed was supposed to be shipped the Wednesday after the storm. It was comming from Canton Miss. As of today I am still waiting. I really like the truck. We haul a 25 foot travel trailer. The performance is great. I just wish Nissan would get their act together and forget the culture thing. It seems they have to make decisions by commitee.

Same thing happened to me. Some guys from Nissan came out to take a look at it, and then once they got the new bed in it was a simple 1 day job. It took about a month to get my new bed in, but since they were replacing it I didn't really mind. It didn't stop me from doing anything. I dealth with Performance Nissan in Everett, WA and they have been great at handling all of my warranty issues - which I keep having.  I'll never own another Nissan again.

Following up on my post of September 7th.....Nisssan finally delivered an '05 truck bed to Mitchell Nissan here in Enterprise.  I brought my Titan to the dealership on Oct 3rd and drove it home on the 7th.  This delay was due to the fact that Nissan failed to provide new tailgate emblems with the new bed.  Darrell, the service tech, insisted on new emblems because of his experience with poor quality aftermarket adhesive mounting tapes.  The only complaints I have with the new bed are:

1) the vertical seams between the body and the tailgate (with the tailgate closed) are not a consistant width. Instead, I now have tapered seams that run from top (wide) to bottom (narrow). Other than a reorder, this issue cannot be rectified since there is no adjustment to correct the gap.

2) the tailgate itself does not operate as an '05 tailgate is supposed to, no easy up and down in my case.  The tailgate is identical in apperance to other '05s on the lot, but the hinge spring either isn't loaded or some other part is missing in the assembly.  The service manager is supposed to be working this issue with Nissan engineers.

My main concern in all this was whether or not the exterior paint would match after the installation, since my truck is over a year old and is never garaged.  No problem here...paint is a perfect match (w/new pinstripe) with no noticable defects. And to correct an earlier post, my truck bed was the second to be replaced at this dealership.  Two others are pending shipment.
