I Have used mobil 1 on the oil changes I do myself with no difference...my truck gets 14mpg no matter what babied or beaten. Which atleast means its predictable. I now have 24k miles and it hasn't changed from the day I bought it

Is the
14 MPG a combination of town driving and highway driving? I'm
guessing yours must be a 2004. Did you have the problems with the
brakes, windows, transmission? I read through all the forum last night
and know they have finally provided a solution to the brakes with the
thicker rotors and better pads. Any other opionons of the truck?
I suprised the MPG has not improved a little after the break in
time. Thanks Joey.

My ride to work used to be 30 miles one way and then it changed to a 6 mile one way. The longer was all highway the shorter is back country roads. With loads or without I never have managed any differently. you can almost set your watch to it. I did have the brake problem but the new rotors have solved that. No transmission issues and i have had some problems with the windows 2 motors and a switch. All in all I am happy with the truck especially considering how I treat it. There isn't a panel on it that I haven't scratched in some way.

Yeah, from what I can tell, by test driving it last Spring, reading
reviews, the Titan seems to have it all, (and then some). It's
the BEST looking truck out there IMP. I just wish the MPG was
better. What state do you live in? I live in South Dakota.

being a previous owner of a 01' dodge, then a 04' dodge with the hemi i was getting about the same milage average about 9mpg about 12 mpg(highway) dodge's are heavy, gas guzzling machines, the best thing i ever did was going to the nissan dealership and seeing for myself what the hype was on the titan. i am averaging about 12mpg in city and about 16mpg on the highway.

Anyway, just pick up a magazine with a shootout against ford, Chevy, dodge, Toyota, GMC, and the titan. The titan always comes out ahead of the rest.
Personally, when I was shopping for a truck I found out that...
Chevy was too expensive, the Dodge hemi drove like it was a 20 year old beat dog, the Toyota was nutless, and the titan was just the best truck I tested and was the best deal. I got my 4x4, crew cab, awesome Rockford sound system, and all the room in the world for $27,000 that's $24,000 with a $3,000 rollover from my trade in.

its been said that the titan is severely underrated in the HP number area, 305 is what they list, but ppl have found higher numbers, and the dodge hemi is just the opposite, listing 345, while ppl are finding much much lower....

I'm completely happy with mine. See, i dont like the looks of it. I actually like the looks of the nicer ones, but mines just the basic with steel rims and typical interior package. I like the chrome mirrors and door pulls. I love the 4X4 off road package but when i was lookin i was a begger so i couldnt be a chooser and i still got a slammin deal. I didnt even think about buyin the truck till the boss told the dude to tell me 21,500 out the door. I said ok, lets go for a drive. After drivin the dodge, yea... no comparison. The truck is really just flat out nice. It moves like you would never guess for a big 4 door, rides and handles great, corners fairly nicely, im gettin 16mpg. i mean i really couldnt be happier with the truck. I never got around to drivin the ford cause my search ended early and the toyotas are ugly and way over priced. So between the Dodge and Chevy i test drove this truck handed em both their asses. And i'm a chevy man....

oh, sorry, forgot. Joeycrack, how is your gas mileage on towin the goat? I'm gonna be towin my SS now and i have a long trip out to indy for the nationals in July. I was debatin on towin it out there but if its only gonna get like 10mpg towin my 4200lb beasst i'm not doin that on a 800 mile trip. I know some trucks do the same, some suffer horrible MPG losses. Thanks man.

I'm using Mobil1 also, and haven't seen any increase in MPG, or HP. I think motor oil is, just that, motor oil.
