I have owned both the Dodge Hemi and Nissan Titan. I can absolutely tell you that the Titan is faster than the Hemi and uses less gas in the process. With the Hemi I averaged 13 mpg around town and 16 on trips. With the Titan, I average 15 mpg around town and 20 on trips, driving between 70 and 80 mph. Acceleration with the Titan is significantly stronger. In my experience, the Titan is a much better truck in almost all areas.

Just from having driven the Titan once I could see it's quality, liked the acceleration, just the look of the Titan was enough for me to look into in further. The interior was nice and roomy, just a beauty of a truck. And 20 MPG is outstanding on trips, and 15 MPG on average for intown driving is not bad at all. I guess the breakin time accounts for the 10 mpg for some owners.

I have an 06 Titan LE. I am getting about 315 - 350 miles per tank. I do have a lawn service, and tow around a lawn trailor. Honestly, I sometimes forget that I'm toting a trailor. No strain at all.

Yeah, that is impressive. Anything to improve MPG these days. Gas is now almost $3.00 a gallon in South Dakota. Still would like to buy a Titan, just have to get employed, then eventually. Hopefully they will get the price of gas to come down. Maybe I should invest in that EEG, that is 85% enthanol, which I've heard is not as good of mileage with that, but it is cheaper. I'm not sure why that is not A LOT cheaper since it is only 15% gasoline. Any thoughts?

My 06 Titan is actually already set to run on Ethanol. Here in Florida though, there are only 2 Ethanol stations, and neither are open to the public.

Oddly enough I havent heard of any EEG thing, What does it mean/do? Gas here in alabama flunctuates from 2.79 to 2.85 for 87 octane....Kinda blows, but i get around 400 miles to the tank. I dont even think there are any ethanol stations in alabama, that I know of anyway.

Hopefully that changes and you will have Ethanol available at gas stations. We have our choice of hiving no ethanol or having a small percentage. The EEG type gas is not avialbable all over but is at some places in Sioux Falls, SD. What it is, is 85% alcohol and 15% gasoline. They are coming out with vehicles that can run on that. I know Nissan has the Titan that had that capability in 2005, they did anyway, I'm not sure about 2006 but I would guess they still do. The thing with that EEG is that it does not provide as good of mileage, but it's about 70 cents cheaper. It's suppossed to make the engine burn cleaner and make the engine last longer. 400 miles to the tank full is not bad; if I recall the tank is a 28 gallong tank right? So that would be about 14 mpg. But the high price of gas at 2.85 a gallon is almost $80 for just one tankfull. Did you happen to see that gas saving device I spoke of. I don't know much about it, but would like as many that are interested in checking it out. I put the website address in an earlier post.

cut and dry the Hemi is a marketing ploy for Mopar that works. If you want to talk ethanol then make a thread about it just so we can stay on topic folks.
