Here is another one...

Maybe it's in the manual, if so I missed it:

On the 6 CD changer I thought I was stuck with only being able to advance up or down to the next track... If you want to go to the next CD just hold the bottom left toggle on the steering wheel up or down... hold it mind you... and it will go to the next CD in the changer... cool!

CJS

That is cool.  I didn't know that one either!

I had no idea about the changing of the cd player from the steering wheel.  I was wandering if there was a way to do that.

Just found another:

If the radio volume was high when it was turned off, the volume will slowly increase when you turn it back on.

The trick: You can adjust the volume right when you turn on the radio while the volume is increasing and the increase in volume will stop.

This way, you don't have to get blasted when the radio is turned back on.

Now that is cool, since I have a tendancy to listen to Slayer LOUD!

Speaking of getting blasted....   If you have the DVD player and you turn the power off on the DVD player, the system will automatically switch to the next source, at the same volume.  Movies are typically quieter than music.   So, my kid falls asleep to "Finding Nemo" and I hit the power button on the DVD player to turn it off.  All of a sudden, it switches to CD and is blasting some "Mr. Brownstone", which promptly makes my kid sit bolt upright.  Kind of funny.

My gripe for the day.  If you have the DVD package, take note or let me know if it's just mine.  If you turn off the truck, it ejects the DVD.  Then, it sucks it in again after about 20 seconds, then ejects again, yadda yadda....  I let it go for about 10 minutes and it kept doing this.  Not cool....

Nice, "Mr. Brownstone...he's been knocking...he won't leave me alone!"

I have a SE with the bench seat and I noticed that there was a cup holder and tray under the front seats in the middle.  It doesn't come out or anything but it's there.  Very odd.

Forking "A"!

My dealer did the window trick on my walk around during the the purchase, i forgot how he did it. Thanks!

I found out about the CD changer trick by holding the toggle switch a little longer and whoola! Next cd was playing. These Trucks rock.

Here's another little feature I thought was handy.

Try locking your doors while the engine is running and your not sitting in the drivers seat. My truck wouldn't let me lock the keys in the truck, thought at first I was going nuts. (In case your wondering, I was trying to lock my mother in the truck with the ac on while I ran in a store for a quick errand)

I need to try this with the engine off but key still in the ignition to see if one can lock his keys in the vehicle.
