I've gotten as much as 17.5 Highway and as low as 14. Around town I get about 10-11 but that is almost all trips of one mile or less. 10-11 MPG Highway sounds awfully low but your still under 1K miles, there is hope. Get a toneau, the Nissan product is under $350 and fits with the Utility bed C-channels. Use the Cruise and stay under 75.

vovchik when I joined I didn't realize the moderators frown on highjacking the topic. To avoid this. When you select a topic. There is a white box at the top. It's normally set to view topics one month old or less. Click the black arrow to view topics further back. Not highjackin boy's, the gas is killing me too. Not as bad as the Astros though. Talk about a hit to the hometown economy. WTF!

I'm kind of late on this one. I've made some posts on my MPG on other topics. For those of you that are wondering when the light comes on, mine usually comes on around 350 miles ... city driving. I noticed this morning that I'm around 370 and it still hasn't come on. I usually fill up at around 23.5 gallons.
It took some will power, but I stuck to the break-in schedule very tightly. I also don't let my RPMs get over 2K when accelerating from a dead stop.

My TITAN has only 630 miles and it only gets 9.3 MPG. My Dodge V10 got better mileage. I called the dealer and they said wait until 5000 mile (break in period). I do not have a lead foot either. I expected much better MPG, at least what EPA rated for the TITAN

My two cents... I think the gas milage thing is all relative. Having had other full size trucks in the past I didn't expect the Titan to be a gas sipper. I am in my truck 6 to 7 hours a day and on average put around 1000 miles per week on it. My driving includes hills, in town bumper to bumper traffic, highway and the more than occasional stomping it just to feel the g's in the seat of my pants thing. On my last tank I got 16.3 mpg. I think that anyone that bought one for gas milage should have done more research. Let's face it, we are all driving one of the if not THE best performing, most well thought out and not to mention most beautiful trucks on the planet. If you want great gas milage you have bought the wrong truck, I personally wouldn't trade mine for any other truck on the market. In all fairness I have done a couple of minor mods to get this milage but in turn I also got even better performance. Besides , it could be worse I could have bought the Ford and had crappy milage, not enough power AND an ugly truck.
Just an opinion

Couldn't agree more.
While I'd like another 2-3mpg this is really not that big an issue for those who want the truck for its other values.

- I agree 100% with the last two posts. Come on guys/gals. Your complaining about gas mileage and your driving a BIG ASS TRUCK with a BIG ASS ENGINE and lots horsepower . Everyone that bought one of these trucks should have known better. Just be happy your driving it and lay off the pedal. Enjoy the best truck on the road.
