LOL....yeah, this noise had me going for a while too.  Every so often under braking I'd hear this bang noise that sounded like someone had hit the inside of the bed of the truck with something.  Then one day while loading some plywood, the wood pushed the plastic track cover forward and "BANG" - same noise.  I thought, "Well I'll be damned."

The first two times was just after getting the truck back after the rear end ate itself. Talking about a but puckering experience.
