Hey guys like most of you I hope mine gets better as she frees up. I bought my titan last sat- so far 267 miles and a little over a quater tank left!! I'm almost afraid to fill it up to see, I estimate 9-13 mpg so far and that was nice and easy!
but man I love this truck, drove all 5 of the .5 ton offerings and nothing came close for even alot more money.

I put another 10 hrs. driving time on my truck over the weekend. I"m still coming up with only slightly over 16 MPG on the highway. I have 1,900 miles on the truck. SE Crew 2wd with tow and offroad pgks. I really can't complain. My 98 Dodge Dakota only got about 14-15 MPG most of the time.

Guys, you guys cant complain about gas mileage. What other fullsized truck would you drive that gets better mileage? I average right at 15 city, and 18 highway, and ive got 3000 miles on it (SE King Cab), and I have a heavy foot. Im not tryin to sound mean, or angry, but really, if you wanted gas mileage, I know everyone here would have boughten a Geo Metro, or some other 3 cylinder piece of crap.

Gentlemen,
My post regarding gas mileage was not to complain, but to provide others with a base for comparison purposes. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible when I calculate my mileage. I'm looking forward to better mileage once I get up around 3000 miles, but for now, I'm happy. The shear fact that my full size Titan is already beating my little Dodge Dakota V6 is awesome news to me.

yo' yo' guys, if you bought this truck for good gas mileage, you,re riding a dead horse. the only way you're gonna get the advertised mileage is to drive 60 mph. that will never happen because this beast was design to scat bro. so sit back and enjoy the ride. green titan

Guys,
The first investment I made for my Titan LE was a K&N filter. It has inproved my gas mileage by 3-5 mpg. I used to get 14-16, Now for on my fifth fill-up I got 19.5 on my last tank. I drive 75+. on highway and 40% of my driving is city The filter is $44.99. They are make a filter charger kit for $199.99. It is well worth the investment. Courtesy Nissan had it on the web.

Update. Last fill up>>>> 441 Miles 26.2 Gallons = 16.8 MPG I could only stare at the gas light for so long. 80% Freeway at 65-70 mph. K&N Charged. I was babying it the whole way just to see if I could squeeze extra mpg out of her. I will drive normal on this next tank and we will see what happen. I will keep you posted.
