Vehicle Dynamic Control.  I assume that the on board computer detects when the wheels start to spin and when they do, it retards the engine to allow the tires to regain traction.  I test drove a truck with it and found that it could detect wheel spin before I could, and thought it a very good option for driving on slippery roads.  You can kind of do the same thing by adjusting your foot on the accelerator, but not nearly as well as the computer.  It's activated by a button, so you can turn it off when you don't need it.  I haven't got an answer yet as to whether I can get it added to my truck or not.

VDC also applies the brakes to the slipping wheel.

By the way, I am new, had my Titan for about a month now and I love it!

I have an '04 LE with Big tow and off road package.  It is my understanding that it has four wheel ABLS (Active Brake Limited Slip), it says so on the sticker.  Basically when it detects a wheel slipping it applies the brake to that wheel, like the reverse of ABS.  I also have the locking diff button that from what I have heard only works in four low.

VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) is similar accept that in addition to the limited slip feature, it also adjusts the engine throttle when it detects an understeer ot oversteer condition.

ABLS replaces VDC on trucks with the offroad package.  I'm not sure which models come with VDC, but I am pretty sure that the non off road package LE's come with it.

I haven't tried mine yet, but it is supposed to snow this weekend, I'll let you know how it works!

I stand corrected, it looks like the VDC comes with the Side air bag package.  If you have both the off road package and the side air bag package, you get the ABLS and not the VDC.  I guess you wouldn't want the throttle to be cutting out on you when you are slinging mud.

you can turn off the vdc. just everytime that you restart your truck it resets its self back to the on position. i havent really messed with it too much i want to turn it off and see just how much power the titan really has. hopefully it will spin for a while

I have a 2004 LE Crew Cab 4X4 with the Off Road Pacakge and big Tow package with the locking rear end, the problem is that this feature only works when you are in low lock not in Hi, also this feature isn't offered with VDC control, you can get 1 or another not both, doens't make sense too me since the locker only works when the vehicle is in low, any way this is what is presently offered.
