Some people you just can't reach. That's why we got what we have here today.
I'd like to think that this freakin memory loss is more common to whiners than Titan owners. I remember what there was to choose from. (end of 03)
I looked at all the trucks alot. Drove each of them at least twice. You can look to long. After a while it seemed I was Looking for reasons not to buy. Instead of why I should. Think this is why some of you want a do over with the choice thing. After reading this dribble. I think this negative feeling about a very cool thing. (getting a new truck) Can cary over in to owning it. Relax. Stop second guessing yourself & your new ride.

I thought this thread was originally about brake issues, as the title explains, not peoples personal vendetta against Nissan. I know what it's like to be burned by a company, and vowing to never use their products again, I can relate to that. But, this subject matter is referring to those who have brake issues, not issues with Nissan.

This forum is about Nissan Titan Brake problems. It is a very well know fact that Nissan's new North American Plants have been having serious Quality Control issues. I love the truck but Nissan Corporate needs to come correct on this matter or they will lose future customers.
GM produced under-engineered vehicles for years and they has lost market share as a result. This should be a wake up call for Nissan.
Besides, Nissan took my good money and delivered an inferior product. If you can deal with being screwed over, that's your choice.

Understand. If you go Ford. Don't get a four wheel. Good freind of mine is on his third transfer case. (04 model). Don't park it too close to the house either. If you go Dodge get em to throw in some tools. You'll be needing em.
I never had the wheel shouder. Couple weeks ago. The brake light came on. 15k. Took it in. Picked it up the next day. New break pads break stronger. All good hear. While I was there I told em about the radio. They ordered me a new one. It's in already. No hassel, no nothing.
I'll probably buy a domestic next go. Nissan makes a better truck ( my opinion). It's not enough above the domestics to justify the unpatriotic feel.
Then again if it wasn't for people like us. They'd still have us driving Pintos & Vegas. What do ya do?

You could always get a Mexican made Ford or buy a Dodge and send your money to Germany. My Titan may be made by a Japanese company but American workers built it.

Okay, I have made it through all the posts in this thread. I found this topic/thread of interest to me because I previously owned a Toyota Tundra...bought it the first day the dealers could sell them 6/1/99.
Just to let everyone know, Tundra owners went through these same darn brake issues for 2 1/2 years until Toyota FINALLY came up with a decent fix which was basically replacing everything with redesigned parts (bearings, calipers, brake hoses, rotors, pads, spindles)...basically they tore off everything and replaced it.
I went through all these brake issues with the Tundra and never even occured to me that this would be happening again with my 6 month old Titan. I personally did not have any brake problems with my Titan until I complained that the parking brake pedal went to the floor, then the brakes were screwed with and the problems began.
I sure hope that Nissan's "fix" is sooner and faster. I personally have lost some of my "fight" with my years of Tundra ownership and being one of the Tundra Guinna Pigs. I guess I kind of figured that Nissan had sat back for 4-5 years and studied Toyota and the Tundra before they came out with the Titan and had maybe learned something from Toyota's brake and other issues.

I have been keeping an eye on this topic, and I have to say that it seems most of you with this brake deal are driving 04 models. I think I read only one post stating that they had an 05. Now I bought my 05 LE KC 4x4 in May. I have around 3,000 mi. on it. I am just now starting to notice a slight pulse in the wheel when braking hard. A lot of this problem, although not the cause, has to do with the way you drive. Some victims have reported the problem occuring at low mileages of say 3000 to 7000 miles. Still others have not noticed it until 10-15,000 miles. If most of your driving is done on the highway, you will probably fall in the latter category. Fast starts and stops, however, will only escalate the problem quicker. Now after researching this on several forums, I have finally come to the conclusion that the problem is definitely due to a design flaw. (not enough beef to the rotors to handle the heat buildup from braking a vehicle in the 1/2 ton realm). A funny thing is, when I first was interested in this truck, upon reading the brochure, the specs. on the brakes state that the front & rear brakes are made by Bosch (good company) and that the front ones are vented (meaning holes in the rotors for heat dissapation???). Well, mine have no holes, so now we have a false advertising issue possibly. I happen to have a dealer who ranks tops when it comes to reputation, so I am fairly confident that if I have to go in for this problem, I will have it fixed right the first time, period. Good luck to you all. Ocean_boy4life

This is not an issue of how someone drives and good luck if you think
they will fix it the first time i would like to live in your world.
