yes most 04 and 05 trucks will have this issue if not all. Not
everyone drives the same and uses the brakes the same so some people
experience the problem sooner than others. I would reccomend
telling the dealer your having problems and get it taken care of
now. Most dealerships claim to need three visits to them for the
problem before the redo. The new fix is perfect before i got
aboput 4000 miles before i had problems so after 4 times to the shop
and only 17000 miles on the truck i got the final fix and i now have
31000 miles on the truck and haven't had a problem since.

My 2004 KC LE is at the shop right now for the second time for the
brakes. The first repair was around 2500 miles. I am now at 6500, and
this time I am getting the full replacement. Although I thought it was
odd that I was originally told I would have to visit 3 times before I
received the replacement brakes, I am still very happy with the way
that everything is being handled.
To those who have received the replacement:
1)Have you seen any improvement in braking performance
2) Have you seen any improvement in acceleration?
3) How about improved mileage?
One of the service techs told me that I should see all three, since the brake issue was affecting 2 and 3 as well...
Thanks,
KL

I had to take mine in at about 300 miles for the replacement kit cause
of vibration and increase in braking distance. I'm going to have to
take it in again b/c my E-brake won't hold my vehicle on a hill. This
is just rediculous with how they're dealing with all the problems. I'm
in california, so all it'll take really is 1 more brake problem and I
can lemon this thing out. I wish I could be happy with it, but it's
just 1 thing after another.

05 Titan SE- Brake problem at 5k. Dealer replaced front rotors and pads. The rear rcvd new pads and turned rotors. I'm now up to 8k, with no other probs.
I do not see an improvement in braking but the "shake" is gone. One interesting note is I did not notice the problem until I put the new 22's on. The day i put the new rims on was the day I had issues. But the rims were not at fault.

This was the final brake fix they used. Full front rotor and pad replacement, rear turn down and pad replacement. Truck still won't hold with the e brake after that. just rolls.

I had the final fix too and now my parking brake won't hold. Two visits now for that issue. It's almost like the dealership is afraid to adjust it where it should be.

Had the "fix" done on my brakes also. Didn't notice the parking break not working untill the rear end came apart again. Now the parking break does nothing. Also when the truck sits for an hour or so then you pull off you can hear the breaks dragging on the rear. I,m getting alittle FED UP with them!

Hey Guys,
Just had the brake job done on my 05.(pre 6-05) . Dealership here in Det had no issues whatso ever... they acted like they knew it was coming. Smooth as a babys butt now on the braking.. only issue here was the month wait for the parts. I guess they come from Mississippi... and with the wx down there, there was a delay in getting them. After the brake job .. park brake works as advertised..... read these posts and went to check

The more I read the more I'm wondering when mine will start to be a problem. Right now this truck feels so solid I could'nt imagine this could happen. I have an '05 LE with the tow package, 4X4 with six lug 18inch alloys and crew cab, build date was 04/05. Could I get lucky and not have trouble? I only have 2,900 miles on it.
