Yes, but only at the corp level of customer service. The dealer has been reasonable. By the way, if anyone is thinking about after market pads, rotors, tires, wheels or anything other than stock, DON'T do it!!!. Nissan Corp Customer service told me that if I changed anything that the warranty would be void.

I have an 04 titan bought last august. At 7500 miles I got the brake shudder and took it in. They replaced the rotors pads. It was fine til I hit around 15k miles. Same damn thing! Took it in again and they turned the rotors and put on "some heavier upgraded hardware". Yey right! At 21k mikes I am having the same problem. I'm taking it in again tomorrow. I was told there is a fix but they do not have the parts. I call BULLSH*T!!! I am getting tired of wasting my time at the damn dealer. I'm about to go back to chevy.

Hey Hendo, thanks for your info, as you can see I had the same problem. The lack of concern at Nissan Corp. is what gets me the most. I spoke with my local dealer again today and he told me that all of the 05 Titans are still being shipped with the same rotors you and I have. And now some new buyers are comming into his dealership asking for the new "fixed" rotors to be put on the Titan they want to buy. That's one less set of rotors for you and me. He also told me that Nissan Corp is telling the local dealerships in California that the rotor problem is only happening in their area and nowhere else, like Texas, or other states. I guess you don't count (sorry). I will let you know how my arbitration hearing goes tomorrow.

Yes. Please let me know. I need to get started on the major complaining. My problem is I am just too nice with these people about it all. I guess I need to contact the BBB. Is that where you start? besides complaining to the dealer that is

Yes, start with the BBB. It only took me about 30 minutes on the phone. Very easy and very fast. This has only been about a 30 day process.

I think you all should call my lemon law attorney. He got nissan to do a buy back for me. Le me know if you need his info.

3 brake repairs in under 18K miles on an early '04.
I went strait to an attorney. Today we got the agreement from Nissan to replace it with a new truck. (In CA).
If you try to go thru BBB or Nissan, you'll end up in arbitration. Nice
thing in CA that the mfg has to pay your lawyer's fees so all Lemon Law
lawyers will take the case on a contingent basis. If you lose, you
don't pay. Simple. If you don't have a good case, he won't take it
since you won't pay a dime.
Total time was about 5 weeks from the day I signed the contract with
the lawyer. Do it NOW! While I'm sure Nissan will get everyone's rotors
replaced, the lemon law is in place exactly to keep mfgs from releasing
vehicles with these types of problems on consumers.
Moral of the story is: Get the brakes fixed as soon as you think there
may be a problem. Lemon law clearly states that 3 saftey related repair
attempts under 18K is a 'special' case. Nissan would never let that go
to a trial and will settle. If you let your 3rd fix go beyond 18K, your
case is much less definite.
I love the truck and warping rotors is nothing new to me. I drive up
and down canyons where I live. All my cars go thru rotors. But having a
nice new free truck will be well above average... I'll be sure to get
it in around 3K for the first replacement set. I understand they are
stupid enuff to have released the 05s with the same setup. Maybe I can
get another one outta them.

This is really too bad about Nissan. I love this truck but I'm very frustrated at this point and thinking I made a big mistake trading in my Toyota. I had a 2001 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab with 80K miles on it. I think I saw my dealer one time during the 80K miles besides normal oil changes, etc... I have had great luck with reliability on 3 different toyotas. This is my first Nissan and probably my last!
