Hello any and all...

I am swaping out my big tow mirrors for the smaller mirrors. (sorry, I'm holding onto the big'un's for when I do start hauling! - so they are not for sale)

They unbolt easily enough: 3 torque bit head screws and one nut... then I thought I'd just pull the wires out (these are the heated memory versions), unplug, plug in the new mirror and bolt up.orqu

Obviously the wires are secured inside either the door panel or the control panel with all the buttons. Anyone know the proceedure for unplugging and replugging this dude? I don't want to start ripping apart my door panels if I don't have too... if so I want a manual so I know where all the nuts bolts etc are!... or at least some input from someone who has worked on the mirrors...

Help anyone?  thanks!

Hi,

I had my passenger side mirror trim replaced because of a defect.  The service guy told me they had to take apart the inside of my truck (i.e. door panel, etc..) to get access of the wire harness.  Unfortunately, I didn't see them do it.  Good luck.
