Hey folks,

I've been looking at Titans ever since this years SF Int'l auto show. The leg room in the crew cab and towing capabilities won me over.

I'm wanting to tow my track car up and down California (probably with a 12' tandem axle carhauler) and use it as the reliable vacation car. Right now I'm looking at the 4x4 Crew SE. The only option I've selected due to price considerations is Big Tow and the SE popular package it requires.

A sunroof would be nice, but not nice enough to warrant the thousands of dollars to upgrade to LE. I'm also eyeing the SE Utility bed package, but I feel like I could get a spray on bedliner installed for much cheaper. Is the utili-track/lockbox/tailgatelights/and 12v outlet worth it?

Also wondering if there are any other options that you wish you had opted for?

thanks!
-mike

Now that it is getting colder here in Minnesota I wish I had the heated seats...

I specifically looked for a Titan with bench seats to utilize the center of the front seats.  Because of this I couldn't get the LE or heated seats.

As for the Utility track system.  I've used it three times in 7 months.  Sure did come in handy though.  I would say go for it but don't get any of the extras like the bed extender, I've only used that once.  It should payoff in resale value.

I guess if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with the CC and Big Tow Package. I never realized how much junk you had to carry even with one infant. As far as the Big Tow goes I'm sure that the lower running gear would help me while pulling a 2500lb boat. Even without the Big Tow, this truck pulls better than any truck I have ever owned. My previous trucks just were not designed to pull like the Titan.

I have a fully loaded '04 SE KC, but I wish I had of sprung for an LE with a navigation system and leather ... and I really want that new power rear window.

As for the utili-rack ... I think it's the coolest thing on the truck. They've come in handy numerous times. The bed itself is not one piece, it's made up of different panels and there are drainage holes up next to the cab.

From what I have been told...the spray on from the factory is directly on the metal as opposed to the spray on with the aftermarket places.  The difference is that the liner binds stronger to the paint.

For what that is worth.

I got the Rockford Fosgate package and I use it every time I get in the truck.
