Do you have a rolling code on your opener? ..It may have a button on it you have to push during the programming process...GL

Yeah! I couldn't set mine up either until I flipped that little switch on the GDO. After that...piece of cake.

I have a question... I've already programmed Homelink in my wifes
car , the GDO has the rolling code. If I use the same steps to
program the Homelink in my truck will it not maker hers
inoperable? Thanks.

You should have a two reciever opener, so you can have two openers on it. If its rolling code and came with two openers then you have two recievers.
