Yep....got hit with that one this morning...it was 7 degrees here...drivers door was hard to open then it would not close...would not latch, took to dealer and was told NISSAN used a grease that freezes at low temps....they said they would replace latch mechanism..

My truck is in the shop again for a second full week over this locking/latching problem.  The dealer is having lots of problems solving this mystery.  I haven't heard anything about the grease, but that makes sense I'll mention it.  They probably thought they saved a few dollars with that Caribbean grease ,  but I need a truck that functions in cold weather.  I am getting closer and closer to invoking the lemon law.

Lots of strange things happen in the cold. You might even note some new rattles in the dash -- as I have!

I have this problem also. If you go to other Titan forums you'll see this is a fairly common issue for Titans and Armadas this winter. My problem is the drivers door but I've seen posting on all the doors.

There is a looped cable that connects to the drivers handle. If this cabel freezes you can't pull the handle. If you can pull the handle - the cable may not release and will keep the latch open. This looped cable seems to be the most common problem. There are 3 cables actually - outside handle.inside handle and lock button. All these lead to the lock assembly but run horizontally except for the outside handle one which is looped and faces straight up. DUMB!

Don't know how to fix it, the lock assembly with cables is on B/O. Mine freezes HARD and SOLID but only on the drivers side. I don't know what kind of grease or lube could freeze so solid at 10-15F. Bind, stick , drag OK - but I can't budge the handle! Feels more like ice to me and since the cable is vertical it's not a stretch to think water dribbles into the cable and collects in the "loop"

I removed the small plactic plug and shot a heat gun through the hole. In 5 minutes it's working fine again. Leave it for a few hours and its stuck solid again.

I dropped my truck off on Tuesday 1/18....drove to work holding drivers door closed, then to dealer...they were hesitant to fix both doors since the drivers door was the problem, I told them I wanted both doors done, I did not want to have to come back later to get the passengers door done, they at first said they would clean all the grease off and re-grease the latch, then they said they would replace the latches, it was supposed to be ready Friday afternoon, got a call that they were missing a part and had to re-order it, supposed to be ready Monday now....
