I realize this is a big truck, but I've never owned a truck before, only SUV's.  I really love the Titans and feel it would fit my lifestyle very well right now.  I'm looking at the Crew Cab models.

We test drove one last weekend and I drove for a bit and then let my wife drive.  I sat in the back to see how the ride was and it was much rougher than I had anticipated.

I'm sure I won't be taking the Titan on any crazy long road trips, but is there anything that can be done (aftermarket) to help with the ride?  I didnt' really notice it to bad up front, more so in the back seat.

Thanks

It is quite ovious, no disrepect intended, that this is your first truck!! I would say the ride in the TITAN is the BEST truck ride I've ever had!!! I've been driving trucks for over 20years !!!!!

Good Luck with your TITAN !!!!!!!!

I know it's obvious, I stated it in my post!

The ride can vary from truck to truck...different options can ofcourse affect the ride quality...most notably the OffRoad pkg. I personally didnt even bother test driving a Titan w/ the OR Pkg, but a buddy of mine did and he said it liked to shook him to pieces. ....GL

I have the Off Road Pkg, and it seemed smoother than regular. But I also live down a dirt road that can be rougher than a corn cob after it rains hard.

I have the extended cab model and find it has a better ride than my suv had. The truck has both the big tow and off road packages. All trucks will ride better with some weight in the back. You should remember that it is A truck not an suv made to please those who want A family sedan with 4-wheel drive. Good luck with your search decision.

Honestly, if your biggest concern is ride you may want to look at the Ford.. The TITAN has much more of sporty feel compared to other full size trucks.  The F150 also weighs about a 1000lbs more, which also helps the ride.

If you get a Ford though, just know not to race a TITAN..

My CC with Off Road and Big Tow packages rides fine and combined with the extra room it provide is has been great for long road trips.  My wife and I go on long road trips in my Titan along with a couple of friends  and we love it.  One of the friends that goes is 6'5 so he really appreciates the extra leg room.  I've had my Titan for 6 months and already have 14,00 miles on it.

My wife and I just got back from Gatlinburg Tn and the trip was great.   The Titan handled fine on the steep, narrow winding roads going up to the cabins.  The only problem was the issue with the shuttering of the brakes.  I plan on taking it to the dealer soon to see if I need them replaced already.

 Loving my Titan in Virginia

I've owned 3 Nissan trucks prior to my Titan (a 4x4, a 2 wheel drive and a Pathfinder)and I feel for the size, length, and being four wheel drive it is the best ride by far. My wife drives a Blazer, and even she says the ride in the Titan is far better; both smoothness and more control than the Blazer. Of coarse I agree...lol
