During all the talks with the dealer and Nissan about the sprayed in liner, they told me it is covered by the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. Good luck. They still have mine but I STILL love it. It's the first truck with balls.

ThaiMonkey --

Splattered?!?! How about posting a picture?

Sounds like you were parked next to a something getting sprayed -- or maybe someone purposely "splattered" it. Came from the rain? Nah......... don't think so. Unless you're living in an area where they're testing some sort of government chemical agent, like Agent Orange, etc.

Where are you reading the bedliner is not covered. It says in my manual it is covered under seperate warranty - i.e. "Seat belts, tires, TRUCK BEDLINERS, and the emission control system are not covered by this warranty, but are covered by seperate warranites."

Also - what's a "basic" warranty? We all have the same one for 3/36,000. There's no "gold club" on the warranty, to my knowledge. We're all in the same basic "boat" together.

If you have under 36K on the truck - bring it back and tell them to fix their damned bedliner.

You've been splattered or sprayed by something my friend. Highly unlikely it's rain. Looks more like shaving cream or oven cleaner has been applied. Or some other sort of chemical. Have you run your fingers on it and given it a good smell-check? You might be enlightened. You might also consider wearing rubber gloves when you do this in case it's something chemical-based.

In any event, if I woke up and found this mess in the driveway, garage, or wherever you park it, I wouldn't worry about a "warranty" on your bedliner -- I'd be calling the State Farm Agent STAT. It's got to be covered under the comprehensive portion of your policy.

I had some nit-wit bend an antennae on a vehicle a few years back. My insurance took care of it no prob., no questions asked. That's what you're paying all that money for every year.

Advice if I were you: Call your agent.

Best of luck my friend. This doesn't look good.

PS - where in Md. are you?
