Just curious , but does anybody else have a desire to "bypass" the built-in speed sense / volume adjustment of the stereo head unit in the LE package??
It sounds ok at lower speeds but it REEEAAALLLYYY rocks when traveling 60 mph and above.
I'd like to be able to get the same sound performance when driving around town at slower speeds.
Am I alone in this?
Anyway the question is: there has to be some sort of connectivity between the truck's computer and the Stereo (i'm guessing it's a Clarion) control unit. Is it an isolated control wire lead or is this speed information carried over same leads as other information?
I'd like to interrupt the Stereo from altering it's amplification output when the speed decreases. But not at the cost of disrupting anything else.
Any thoughts???
THANKS!!!!!

Truthfully, I thought it was cool at first. Then with the volume increasing and decreasing during a drive while trying to carry on a conversation, well sucked. So I just keep it turned off.

Just push the right knob button thats for TUNE/CHANNEL and a series of options comes on the display everytime you click it, i.e. BASS, TREBLE, FADE....and eventually you'll come to SSV. By turning the knob, you can select the sensitivity or OFF. Hope that helps.

It is nice that we can shut it off. My mothers BWM can't and you just have to talk over it or shut the radio off

My dad's Silverado has the SSV but no shut off. So, riding in his truck is always a constant holler, with him being half deaf anyway, it doesn't help. So yes, it is nice we have the shut off option.

Glad to have helped. But hey, if nobody had any questions, manual or not, what fun would it be not being able to help our fellow Titanian, uh, Titanums, mmm...ok, Titan owners.
