There is an adapter included with the big tow package and it's for converting a 4 wire conntector to a trailer with electric brakes. That's what I read in the manual. has anyone had to hook this thing up yet and if so is it difficult to do?

Regards,

Geno

I have the dig tow package. It came with a "pigtail" in the glove box to hook up a brake controller inside the cad. The part that the pigtail hooks to is taped to the wiring harness under the dash. It is hard to see and get to but it can be found. Your truck should have a 7 pin connector on the back by the hitch. From here you have to buy an adaptor to go to the 6 pin configuration or the 4 pin configuration. Some 7 to 6 adaptors is designed to be taken apart to switch the two center wires (brake and aux) depending on your trailer configuration. Hopes this helps.
