My transmission came in today. Hooray.  Since the dealer has not put one of these babies in before he told me not to expect it until Wednesday.  It is the same design as my original.  The dealer said that Nissan told him that if this problem is wide spread they would have a recall.  So they are saying mine was a fluke.  I hope so.  Nissan Corporation called me.  For my time, trouble, and patience I get a free bugshield. They rented me a new Ford F150 4X4 with the 5.4 liter engine.  This truck does not hold a candle to the  TITAN.  I can't wait to get mine back.

Hey, I just found your post about the trans in your Titan.  Mine went out 2 days ago here in Georgia.  It only has 5600 miles on it and I've had it for about 2 months.  My dealer (Sutherlin Nissan in Buford, GA) told me that it would be at least a month before the new trans came in and that Nissan had told them the only rental car they could provide me was an anemic Honda Civic!  Can you provide me with some information on your case?  What exactly happened to the trans?  Mine would not shift from high gear (automatic) and if it wasn't for the 385 lb/ft of torque, I wouldn't have made it to the dealership.  Any info you could provide would be great.  I would like to know what my options are.  Thanks a lot.
