Question for anyone with the big tow package. Did your truck come with the male cannon plug pig tail? This would have been the male side for the stock connector installed on the bumper. The only thing I got was a square small white connector for splicing electrical brakes. The connector that would plug into the the existing plug on the truck would be about a half dollar sized circular male plug with pre stripped wires to connect to your trailer. I got one with my Jeep a few years ago and assumed that when you bought a tow package, that it would come with everything you need to hook it up to a trailer. Nissan parts at two local dealships tell me that it's only available from an aftermarket source e.g. Car toys etc. They don't even sell this plug (no part number in Nissans system)

Just trying to make sure I got everything I was supposed to get with my truck.

If I am reading you correctly, the male plug that your trailer plug plugs into on the bumper is not there? I have the big tow package. It came with this. It is a 7 pin connector. You would have to buy an adaptor for a 6 pin or a 4 pin connector. Hope this helps.

I do have the female plug on the bumper. I don't have a male counter part that you would wire into your trailer. The only external plug I received was a square white 7 pin connector that you use to set up the electrical brakes on your trailer. Looks like it's( the missing plug)  supposed to be an aftermarket part you buy from U-Haul, etc. Suprised Nissan didn't include it with the package. They did give you the electrical brake connector, but not the part folks need to hook up a small U-Haul.

Amazing that even after charging me for the tow package, Nissan would expect me to go out and spend an additional $20 to buy this from an outside source.

Most trailers that you buy or use already has the plug wired to the lights. Chevorlet does the same thing as Nissan.

The big tow package DOES NOT come with the adapter that plugs into the electrical connector mounted on the truck.  You have to buy that separately along with the receiver (that carries the ball).

You can purchase it from your dealer, along with the flat 4 pig tail for most trailer applications.  try this link:

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info.  I was wondering about the wiring harness myself.
