Hi all, I'm new to all this, but I hope that someone can help me. Two weeks ago I purchased a new 2005 Titan 4 X 4 Crew Cab, the salesman told me all about the towing of 9400 #, I told him the truck did not have a towing hitch with it, he said no problems they would put a towing package on it, no cost. Great.

Not really, he meant a reese hitch, not towing package, towing only 7400 #, my trailer & tractor weight is 8124 #. They tell me it will cost $ 2,300.00 plus labor to put the package that will tow the 9400 # as advertised. I will have to pay it. Now I have a truck that I can not even use in my business as planned. I traded in my F-250 that I pulled it with. They did not tell me that I needed what they call the BIG TOWING PACKAGE to tow the advertised 9400#, that it was not on this truck, but they forgot to mention that.  While they were putting on the reese hitch I was talking with the mechanic putting it in and he asked what I pulled. I told him and he informed me I could not tow that much with the reese hitch only. The salesman said he never said this truck would tow it, just the truck was capable of towing it. Not the way I remember it, but they will not do anything about it. Is there anything I can do about this rip off of misadvertisment or misrepresentation by the dealership. The salesman will not return my call anymore or talk with me, the manager said I should have known it, since it did not have a hitch to start with.
