Recently I had replaced my headlight bulbs for upgraded ones from sylvania since the stock ones weren't bright enough for the Montana highways at night. I popped in Sylvania SilverStars (# 9005 ST) in for the high beams and they were MUCH brighter than the stock highs, and I installed the Sylvania XtraVision (#9006 XV BP) lights in, but the results were nothing more than stock from what I could see.

I would recommend the SilverStars for the brights, but I would suggest finding a brighter low beam bulb than the XVs if there is one out there since the XVs are pretty much the same as the stock ones.

I also installed silverstar for the low beams... they are absolutely great, especially when it's raining.  Also, I installed Luminics JDM Yellow fog bulbs.  Together, the do a great job at cutting through the fog or mist.  Plus, the yellow fogs are different compared to everyone elses.  When the weather gets really bad, I turn on my bullbar mounted PIAA's... now that's bright!

AndyCap,

You have a bullbar mounted on your Titan?  Where did you get it?

hey miserytom, i know you will see this.

i did some research on the newest sylvania silverstar lights.

which ones do you have?  i want to get the 9006 SU and the 9005 SU.  i am guessing you have the ST's.  is it worth it for both highs and lows?  also i am interested in getting the 899 fog replacements.  do you have these and if so, how are they?

any info would be appreciated.  thanks.
