Does anyone know how to turn off the defroster?  If I turn it on for a few minutes and then try to turn it off the AC stays on.  I actually have to stop and turn the truck off and then the AC goes off.  I took it to the dealer and they say that is the way it is designed.  Once you turn on the defroster it will not go off.  I have tried turning the fan off for several minutes and putting the air to vent but once I turn the fan back on the AC is running.

Hmm that's a new one on me. If I turn on my defroster and the A/C light is on, I simply hit the A/C button(center button) and the light goes off as well as the A/C unit. I think you're getting smoke up the ole arse from the dealer.
