I've had my SE Crewcab RWD since March and already have had a few issues. Just wondering if others have had similar problems. (1) Alignment: truck pulls extreme right. It costed me 3 trips back and forth to convince the dealer to re-align. They finally did it correctly. (2) The coating or paint on the steering wheel plastic inserts where the Volume/Cruise Controls are located is wearing off after just month and half in, without sharp finger nails. (3) The driver front window circuit would cut off the juice to the motor if the switch (auto-up) is activated rapidly and let go of the switch. It would take 3-10 seconds for the circuit to reset and the motor to activate again. I had the dealer looked into this and the motor replaced. Apparently after they had replaced the motor, and I came back again for the same problem, I was given an explanation that it was inherent in the design to protect the motor from frying. This cannot be reproduced on the other (passenger) window!@! The 350Z also has the same inherent design, as I was told. My 2000 Maxima does not have this issue!@

Also does anyone know where I can get a set of cool-looking (not too expensive) running boards for the Titan, other than those offered by Nissan? I would love to check it out. Keep trucking...

My truck is in the dealer for the replacement of the steering wheel inserts today. I should have it done by end of today. I figure that this is the FIRST year model that there is going to be a few quality defects that Nissan needs to iron out. That is why I pay extra special attention to my truck for every little noise here and there and would not hesitate to take it back to the dealer while the warranty is still good.

BigBadTitan,

It took the dealer (in San Jose, Ca.) 4 weeks in April to get the window motor for my truck. Because I had pressed them on the same issue since the 3rd week I took the truck, the service advisor had to rob from Paul and pay Peter. Otherwise I could have waited a couple of weeks more.  Good luck.

mytruck04,

Thanks for your input, I just now got off the phone with my dealer service rep and confirmed the part is in. I also asked about the paint on the sterring wheel inserts. He said they will take care of it.

They will also do a road test for the Tranny issue I described under Performance/Technical / Transmission Blues.

Hmm... I am little worried now. I had my passanger side window stuck at DOWN position and would not come up at all. Should be easy to fix but...

I still trust nissan quality over other auto makers. I have had really good experience with my maxima for last few years and I think I am going to have a blast with my TITAN
