when I first bought mine I had trouble getting it to close...however then my truck got hit and the problem was solved when it was fixed...take it to the dealer and get it looked at should be covered under warranty

just had a service person look at it.....when i was describing the problem, he was like "oh...they are supposed to be hard to close...they are made to be submerged in water..." i'm like well try it yourself...so he did and saw that the latch wasnt catching....so he says...bring it back tomorrow morning...so thats where i'm at.
