hey guys,
i have a 04 canteen green titan that came from the factory with overspray on the paint.  the dealer has sent it out to detailers three times now and the overspray is gone but now if the sun catches just right you can see alot of swirls in the clear coat.  they were told about the swirls at the detailers but i can still see them.  is there a way to get ride of the swirls or could it be the sun reflecting off of the crome.  i just don't know what to do.  i love the truck would but i want it to look as good as it runs.  thanks for the info.
jody

The swirls are called micro-marring and yes you can get rid of them-mostly. Keep in mind that canteen (nice color by the way!) is a darker color and will show things like this so.... be easy on yourself.

POLISH (not wax) Get something like 3M hand glaze and start polishing. The polish will remove the swirls/haze left over from the detailer - who didn't really do a good job.

If you're doing by hand (and you ain't dead from polishing) then apply a good coat of wax. If you really want to know .....

GO HERE - READ - you'll never look at your paint again the same way  http://www.properautocare.com/detailingtips.html

thanks for the info stitch,  i washed the truck yesterday and applied some duragloss polish by hand to the drivers side to see if it helps.  i'll be able to tell later this afternoon when the sun is right if it did.  if it didn't i'll go get some of the polish you sugested.
thanks
jody
