Pathetic..yeah thats about right. I work for an aircraft parts distributor and we do that very thing on a daily basis...(you dont have the part # loaded in your computer?..you simply call the purchasing dept. or the vendor to get pricing, then master the part # and place the order) I mean, aint that what youre in business to do AutoZone? sell parts? ...HELLO?!?! ...lol Well no harm, I purchased it for under $38, no tax, no shipping at www.TSEtruckstuff.com

I put my K&N in about 2 months after I bought it. I've had an average improvment of 1 to 2 mpg but this might be due to engine breakin or I may be driving it easier now that I've had it a while. I notice more of a change when I simply don't accelerate hard.
But how can you resist?

I took mine to the dragstrip and the stock air filter turned in
marginally faster times (like .02 seconds) with the stock
exhaust. With the Banks the K&N went faster (.02 secs).
Really, unless you're just wanting a filter you can re-use I wouldn't
recommend it.

Nissan is really not fond of oil & gauze type filters. The MAFs seem to get oiled up and then screw up. I have seen this myself and been told by many Nissan techs that the MAF is just too damn sensitive...but I do like the rush the oiled filters seem to give.

Unfortunately, since adding the K&N filter as well as my tonneau cover, I have not experienced any notable difference in MPG. I would like to get a dual exhaust (mainly for the look and sound) but I wonder if it would possibly help the MPG?
