I just installed the Banks Monster exhaust on my Titan.

WOW. I was going to do a photo step by step to post, but in fact everything is so straight forward and fits so well it's no big deal. I did it in about a hour and a half with air tools.

Talk about a rumble of authority! When you step on it you know it! It sounds great. A touch on the loud side for me personally, but I've always prefered a quiet system (stealth mode!). I have not had it on the HWY yet but at 50 - 50 the noise level seems fine so far.

Performance? Well, now that I have both the Volant intake and Banks exhaust the throttle is more crisp and you can definitely feel the punch!

I will post a full "performance review" after I drive it a few days. I will also do some milage comparisons.

Photos and review when I get a chance... I can already tell you that this exhause may be too loud for me at HWY speeds during acceleration.

Going from Sacramento to Reno tomorrow. I will do a milage comparison and see what if any the difference is from stock.

More later!

So many questions!

Ok, here is the poop. Yes, it did increase the power. It also increase the SOUND/noise a BUNCH. It HAS NOT increased my gas mileage   one bit. How much louder you ask? Well lets put it this way, your neighbor is not going to like it if you punch it every time you leave your house!

When just cruising along at HWY speeds it is not too bad, but if you are on a hill and have to "get into it" a little then it's very loud. If you punch it from the get-go it really starts a rumbling around 2000rpm and is loud all the way to 4500rpm, then starts to mello as the HP kicks in full boar.

I cannot say how much louder, but for ME it is too much, I will be seeking a quieter muffler for this system, hopefully one that will not deter the power any, just reduce the sound level.

For those who have read along, I also installed the Volant intake system. This adds noise too when you get on it. This also DID NOT increase my mileage at all.

SO, overall, I have increased my HP, NOISE and I have NOT increased my gas mileage. It was 16.8 HWY stock and 16.7 HWY with the mods. If anything I expect to increase my in town mileage because of the increased noise I will be tender footing it it unless I happen to WANT some attention  !!?

In my humble opinion if you are bucks shy, save your cash, the Titan has plenty HP. If you just HAVE TO have the extra HP, go for it... but it will cost you in $$ and NOISE - but some do not mind that.

Well, hope this helps you all a bit.

Thanks for the review. I wonder if a Magna Flow would be a good choice for you? They tend to be quiter and still flow as much as a Flowmaster.
