this is my first 4x4.....i put my truck in 4wheel drive mode and noticed the steering wheel getting harder to turn.....is this normal??  I dont remembering it doing this before when i used the 4 wheel drive mode.

yup perfectly normal, the stiffer the springs the more response your suspension is gonna get.

Since this is your first 4x4, you may not know - if you were on dry
pavement at the time, that's why. A 4x4 isn't like a full-time 4WD
vehicle - the differentials are are not the same. All-time 4WD's are
able to compensate for different wheel speeds around turns. Too tight
of a turn with 4x4 engaged on the Titan on dry pavement will make it
hard to turn and cause it to 'buck' as the wheels are trying to keep up
with each other. 4x4's rely on sandy or slippery surfaces for the
slower-moving wheels to 'slip'. It's murder on the drive train on hard,
dry surfaces so only use 4x4 when conditions warrant it.

should 4x4 be used at least once a month to keep all the fluids movin and lubricate drive train parts??

Dunno, to be honest. Haven't ever thought about it. Sounds logical to
me. Besides - I've heard it said that 4x4s run better when they're dirty
- if nothing else it's a good excuse to go play in the dirt!
