I know there was another thread out there somewhere about this, but I did a search and could not find it... ANYWAY....
Just recently when I flick up on the drivers side window button it surges then does nothing, even if I hold the button. Each time I have to let go and wait several seconds, then it will work. If I try immediatly to raise it after it is stuck it will not budge, only after waiting several seconds... is this some sort of safety feature? If so I hope to heck I never plunge into a river!
I will definitely have the dealer look at it.
Anyone else have this trouble?

Me three. Finally!
Somewhere this was mentioned before. I hear the motor or track parts rattle when trying to get it to go up. Only after some monkeying around does it go up.
Mine reared its head after some bumpy driving thus likely loosening the hardware.

I dont know if this has anything to do with your problem, but I do know the windows have a safety feature that will will stop the window from rolling up if it encounters a certain level of resistance. It is meant to protect children, but I suppose the sensor could be broken or set too sensitive. I know when I first installed my "in-channel" window vents, the passenger window would sometimes go up then come back down a few inches.....It still does it every now and again, but usually will work right on the 2nd try.
....update....my window has acted up in months now

My window actually fell out of the track. Had it fixed. Then it happened again and is currently in the shop. Dealer this time is telling me they are going to replace complete track and window in hopes to solve problem.

I just recently had this problem after I went through a car wash. I believe that was simply a coincedence with the car wash but that was the first time I noticed it. The window rolled down and would not roll up , however I was able to get the window up when i hit the window lock button It was very strange and I have had the problem several times now. I have an apt. this friday. I will let you know if they find anything. I wonder if there is a leak somewhere that is causing a short in out trucks electrical. ???? I'm Stumped
