Before, I would have never said I would.  I have been back recently due to several small problems, including antifreeze smell, repeated power window issues, gas gauge stopped working for a while (then started working again), blown speakers, heavy front end shimmy while braking...etc.

I recently (momentarily) thought about trading in for a 2005 Titan ( I even parially thought about my old Ford Ranger that I had no problems with).  I came to the conclusion for now that all the things I love about the Titan outweigh trying to get rid of it.  I'd probably trade one problem for another anyway.

At least all the issues I have had with my '04 have never been so bad my truck wouldn't run/drive.

Picture link is broken, but honestly, if I had to pick something else, I would go with a new Ford Full Size.  I love the LED signals in the mirrors.

I would have to agree with Evil. I would have to go with the ford if I would leave the Titan. I have had all the problems been in the shop more than I would like but love the truck.I love to turn heads. I took all the badging off with the infiniti wheels, no one knows what I drive.

I haven't had any mechanical or electrical issues with mine. The only issues I've encountered were the radio, cracked OH console and some deformed window molding. Dealer fixed all three with no hassle. I do feel for all of those with problems.

My brakes are fine but if they start to judder I'll have the TSB done. If that doesn't fix it for good then I'll get a set of Powerslot rotors and Hawk brake pads. They don't make the Titan rotors & pads yet but probably will soon.

It would take a lot to get me to give up this motor and trans combo. This truck's design isn't perfect and in some cases the execution is flawed (quality control). but damn! they got a lot of things right 1st year outta the chute.

That's why I bought the Titan.  For the engine and tranny.  I was winning to buy the XE version just to get them.

My wife talked me into getting the SE version because she didn't like the idea of me spending that type of money for roll down windows.

If I had to get rid of the Titan, I would get either the Ford 250 Diesel or the Dodge Cummins diesel.

EVILPEPPARD, In one of your posts, you mentioned an antifreeze smell. I have the same problem, but no loss of fluid or spike in engine temp.. Did the dealer locate the problem and fix same? My dealer advised that they pressure checked the system and inspected it and could not find a problem. Thanks.

No. But I would buy the XE the second go around.  Yes manual windows are a pain. Thier a pain every time. Just like the way they work. Every time. I test drove all the 1/2 tons. Most of them at least twice. Kept a silverado ss, & slt hemi overnight. I took a long time deciding. I remember what is out there. The titan with it's auto seat, & window switch problems. Is still better than the rest of The choices. Even though the radio sure seems intentional. I ass hume they want our buisness in the future. These problems will be fixed. They can't afford not to. If our buisness isn't enough. What about the $6 billion for the plant to build them in. They are to far in to loose their investment over a few million $. I have never heard of a perfect first year run vehicle. I did own a 82 camaro though. Now that was a bucket of crap. If we had the net back then. That car probabley wouldn't have seen it's third year.
