I have a Honda CBR 600 F4 and a Honda RC51. The F4 is an everyday back and forth bike and the RC51 is my track bike.

You can find some great info on Sportbikes here : http://www.808Riders.com and also talk to some Sportbike Fanatics here : http://www.hawaiiforums.org/HawaiiRiders/

01 honda cbr929rr, 02 susuki gsxr1000. Get a big one. They go slow just fine. You can't even tell what your on till you hit it. If you go with a six you'll be tired of it in a couple of months. It's alot easyer to buy one than sell one. I think I'm still scared of my susuki.

thats my thing...some say you'll grow tired of a 600 very quickly and some say that the 600 will be fine for normal street riding...I really dunno what to do...I was gonna buy a 6 and learn on it for a while then upgrade as I really am a newb to street riding

It's cool to hear about someone standing at the door. If I was twenty again, I'd still go through. Too much life to miss out on. It's sad some never see it. Can't give advice from this point, all I can give is opinion. This is because what waits is full out. Hope you see it. It's a hell of a thing.

MY opinion: The six will be more nimbel with less power. This would provoke me in to exploiting that part of it's potential. Learning the limits of the tires is harder than making sure it's pointed in the right direction before you bang it.
