well here's my question, I'm waiting for an '05 titan crew cab SE. it's going to be my first full-size truck and I have A TON of mods in mind. Starting with a lift kit, I already know which kit I'm going to run but, I'm also going to be doing some big performance mods. I'm going to be running 38 inch tires and I really want to be able to do some nice burnouts, only problem with that, watching one wheel spin is really lame, does anyone know if the 05's are going to come out with a locking rear diff? I know it comes standard on the offroad package, but since I'm changing all that anyways, I'm just getting the basic suspension package. and I'm only getting the 2-wheel drive not 4x4. well, any help would be awesome, thanks

good luck turning those 38" tires it has the torque to do it but your
going to wind up doing more harm than good. why would you put
tires that big if its not going to be 4x4? also you are looking at over
$2000 for a lift kit to fit those tires under the titan. but its going
to be your truck and good luck

I'm not looking to do burn outs, but I would like to get more info on a locker. I have a 2wd and I feel a locker would benefit me....is there a way to get the factor locker?
Also, where can I get details on the guts of my Dana44?
What kind / brand locker is it?
Air driven/ electric or a mix?
Who makes the locker?

locking diff if you got the off road package im not sure on the
manufacturer mut your owners manual should point you in the right
direction if not look up the dana site online

I don't know off hand. As with shocks, brakes and other add-ons etc. It's taken about 1 year for the aftermarket to catch up with the Titan. The simple things came/come faster and the more complex parts come slower.
I would think that a locker and other drivetrain components take 1-2 years to introduce after a completely new model truck hits.

Bought a late 2004 model with the diff lock. After reading the manual, I found out that the lock only works when in 4LO. That means it is of limited use. I think that I would rather have the VDC for winter driving. I am investigating if it is possible to add the VDC or change it with the diff lock. I've heard that you can't have both.
