On trucks with the DVC does this prevent slippage on acceleration from a start. I have just test driven one with a tow package and it appeared too?
Appreciate any input as to the value of this function as a poor mans limite slip.

in a nutshell its traction control so to answer your question yes but as far as using it as limited slip i dunno if it would work how you are looking for

it is the worst thing on the titan yes it helps you from spinning but it cuts the power off and that is not a good thing trying to pul out in heavy traffic

I can see it's value, but I hate that it's always on. I wish I could turn it off and LEAVE it off. But it resets everytime you shut off the ignition.....
I can see it being useful in snow, Ice, Mud, etc...

I dont think it cuts any power until it senses the tire spinning... I mean if the tire is spinning then you aint gettin enough traction anyway...right? Didnt I read that it actually accomplishes this by applying the brakes to the wheel that is spinning?

no the way it works is cutting torque when the wheel spins faster than the front and the braking part is a rip off of the esp found on mercedes benz its suppose to brake each wheel to get you straight if you lose control

It definitely saves tires.
I turned mine off and punched it, the tires spun so hard I actually got a bit of wheel hop!
Sometime it seems like it cuts the power for a little longer then I would like but for the most part you don’t even notice it’s on.
Hey can someone tell me where to look to see if I have a limited slip rear end? It’s a 4x4 SE with tow mode and DVC if that helps.
