Hello folks,
I was wondering if any of you have replaced the factory radio in your
rockford equipped trucks and interfaced the steering wheel controls...
The problem i am having is finding what nissan calls the AV Switch. It
is a 24 pin plug supposedly located near the factory radio
location. It is the plug i need to wire up the peripheral SWIX
steering wheel control interface...
If anyone has any experience with this plug or has interfaced their
sterring wheel controls your knowledge would bew greatly appreciated
Thanks in Advance

I had a "professional" car audio place tell me that if I had them install an aftermarket stereo, I would lose my steering wheel controls..I assume since they would have loved to have sold me a new stereo, that they were telling me the truth.

I have been told that the harness your looking for may be in the overhead area if you have the overhead console.

here is a solution for your problem:
http://www.cybergiftcenter.com/applications/search/itemdetai ls.asp?oid=21&sku=CP-SWIX&mpn=SWI-X
I ran accross this on titantalk.com and people have said it works. just make sure the radio you have or get has a remote control. it sends the signal from the wheel controls to the remote control sensor.

Thanks Beaker. I knew I had seen it but I could not remember where.
