Haven't seen this one addressed and wonder if it might be a potential problem area.

In the gaping "catfish mouth" (no disrespect intended) air intake on the front therein lies what I think is the A/C condenser (or possibly the radiator) along with it's electric cooling fan.  Doesn't that setup look like a bug catcher's delight?  Having had my truck for less than a month the airborn bug population is currently low so I havn't had any ingestion problems, but I can see the potential to clog that set of coils.  These trucks have a big blunt nose and will kill more bugs than a Peterbuilt.  A lot of them will make it into that intake, especially in rural Texas when the grasshoppers come out.

I plan on adding some screen material behind that opening this winter to be ready for bug season.

Any of you that have owned your trucks through the past summer months had the problem??

Thanks for listening,

Rick

Thanks !!

Our other house is in rice county outside of Sacramento and I think I might just address this issue now. You are thinking ahead and it may just save our tails. THANK YOU
