Yes 04 Titans can add one of these easy open tail gates all you need to do is trust your Nissan dealer and with the parts depot about fifty bucks and you can add it ...you will have to drill a small hole behind your P/S tail light for the ball stud and change your lower right hinge: note will have to be painted to match add the shock available from your nissan parts department and thats it.

care to show us a writeup about that? I've been on titantalk.com a lot and everyone over there, including a service tech, said it can't be done without some major body/frame modifications to make room for the shock.

I would love to do this mod, if all that was required was drilling a hole...but pictures posted on titantalk appeared to indicate otherwise...as The Engineer stated, it looked like fairly extensive sheet metal / custom modification would be required...If this truly is a simple modification many on this forum would greatly appreciate some step by step instructions preferably with pics of the modification on an 04...thx again for the info.

I like to know how he got the parts since mine have been on ordered for a month now since the 05 Titan came out. LOL They are on back order, and no dealer can get them at this time.
