I am a big fan of purolator pure one oil filters and recently used the stock replacement for my oil change.  Next change, I would love to use a slightly larger filter.  The stock and stock replacement can't really be meant for the 5.6, it is way to small!!!

TIA,

Ron

I do.  Noticed it is small, too - Nissan and Infiniti use the same filter for almost all their vehicles...I guess they know what they are doing???

Use the same Nissan filter that came off of it. These are very good quality filters and have the correct anti drainback valve settings. Anything else may be a compromise to fit many applications.

P1's ,Mobil 1's, K&N's are all good but the Nissan filter has similiar heft, correct gasket, good media and reasonable (but not cheap) price.

Bottom line is it's good,it works, has been tested with that motor and in the event something goes wrong---- it's one less thing for Nissan to point a finger at.

Next change I'm on a mission to fit a larger volume K&N. I'll post the part number when done. If nobody has done so.

And as I've mentioned before; 'anti-drain back' is pretty worthless on this motor. Unless you park upside down...I don't know of a filter today which does not have this basic feature- it's the flapper you see under the small holes.
