Yesterday, I met with a representative from Nissan at the dealership from where I bought my Titan. He was conducting interviews and compiling surveys from Titan owners throughout the day. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and he asked me general questions about the Titan, like what I like/dislike, how often I drive the truck, gas mileage, etc. He also brought his camcorder and made a brief video of my truck.

For my efforts, I got $150 worth of credit coming to me that can be used at the dealership for any service and/or accessories I'd like to purchase. I thought that was cool of Nissan to do.

We also talked a little about other Nissan products, like industrial equipment and other ventures that Nissan is involved in besides making automobiles. He told me that Nissan also manufactures outboard motors for boats and sewing machine components, of all things. I've noticed that a lot of Asian auto manufacturers diversify into other fields as well.

I asked him about there be any chance that Nissan will release the Skyline in North America any time soon. He said that he heard about that possibility and most likely it would be released under the Infiniti marque if it ever does reach North America. He also told me that he saw a few Skylines in California recently, and needless to say, he was impressed with both the performance and looks.

Hi there,

Sure would like to get in touch with your survey person!

I love my Titan, but I am afraid I/we are all going through the "first year blues".

The only question I asked him regarding the 2005 Titan was the expected release date. Normally, as you know, new vehicles are released in the late summer (September). He said the '05 Titan will most likely be released in October or November because the '04 Titan was released relatively late (December) for the new model year.

I forgot to ask him about what will be in store for the Titan in '05 and beyond, but, then again, that may have been the purpose of the surveys he was conducting. As a representative of Nissan, he was probably gathering info. from owners to see what kind of improvements could be made for upcoming models. Nissan is really good at listening to its consumers regaring these matters, at least so I've been told.

I don't know what he was able to glean from the 45 minutes I spent with him on Monday because I had nothing negative to say about the truck. The only "improvement" that I mentioned was a dual exhaust option since Nissan already offers such neat options as the Off Road Package and accessories like grille guards and, eventually, taillight guards.
