Hello all,

First post here.
I got my Titan 3 days ago. Found this site the night before delivery
and was a bit nervous about all the transmission problems, rattling,
cracking, and other defects described in some of the posts.

All those feelings went away when I received my Deep Water LE Crew
Cab! Loving it. Hope none of what's described affects me.

I was wondering what you guys know about Bed Covers in the market
or soon to be released. I always liked the Avalanche's 3 piece cover.
I'm looking for something durable to the weather, safe (lockable) and
easy to operate. I don't like the soft tonneau covers, maybe a folding
cover?

Any recommendations? Thanks, eT.

Hey, Congrats on the new Titan,

I am not a big Fan of the soft tonneau either but I buy a lund hing top soft tonneau and I am pretty happy with it. It has a hinged frame and gas struts so it lifts and closes really nice.  it nice alternitive if you dont want to dish out a 1000. on a hardtop

The cover I am looking to purchase and have seen numerous rave reviews on is the truxedo cover...here is a link for an example just so you can get an idea of what it looks like.  Take a look http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/tuxedo_bedcovers .asp?GTSE=goog&GTKW=truxedo+tonneau+covers

I too am not a fan of the soft covers.  Yes they may be cheaper, however, I would rather have the security of the hard cover.  In fact, my wife (who is not into the automotive world like myself) suggested that we get the cover ASAP.

Thank you for the responses.

I'm not a big fan of putting stuff in the bed and leaving it unprotected
either.

I would hope that Nissan or some after market maker would take
advantage of the rail system to develop some superior bed cover, for
this superior truck.

I like the idea of a 4 part folding cover, like the ones shown
folding_hard_tonneau_covers.htm">here. I e-mailed them and
they have no plans to release anything for the Titan anytime soon.

Lets hope some manufacturer comes out with something not too
expensive, yet effective and practical. I'll keep my eyes open and if
nothing new appears in the next weeks I may go with the tuxedo
cover...

Thanks all, enjoy memorial weekend!

eT.

Retrax makes a hard/roll cover that fits the utili-track system and most accessories.  However, it is a screw on system 2 to four per side.  Mine gets here on Thursday, but will not be able to install till six days later due to work.

If you don't have the Utilitrac, then this one is reasonable:

How about bedliners?  I just bought my new Titan and, as part of negotiation, dealer agreed to install a Nissan bedliner (now on order).  Since then, I am hearing from both sides that spray-on liner is better vs installed one piece liner is better.  Anyone have any experience with both of these?  Nissan liner dealer price was $299 and I don't have a price on spray.
