The dealership told me to only use the special Nissan oil filter because it is made to allow for some sort of oil backflow when need be......

Is there another brand of oil filter that can be used on the Nissan KC....

Why would you risk it and use anything else? Dont do it to save a few bucks when your talking about a $30k plus vehicle? Use the OEM stuff and i'm sure you'll have no problems, it's what it was designed for.
