Do you guys think that it is worth waiting until 2005 to get a Titan? I am thinking that maybe all the problems, like the transmission, might be fixed by then. I have always heard that it's always better to wait until the second year of existence to buy a car. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Well, since it's already June, the 2005 models should be out in another four months. I'm curious to see what changes will be made to the Titan for next year, if any.

I think there will be some common problems with a vehicle regardless of age. If you are serious about buying an '04 Titan, then I wouldn't let some of the issues that are being posted here deter you. It's a marvelous truck, and despite some of the mishaps that some people here may have experienced, there is no recall for any design flaws or defects with the '04 Titan. I think most of us would agree that the ownership experience has been great.

No need to wait. It's a Nissan. That says it all.

I really see no advantages to waiting.  A production problem can be corrected and at the same time another one can arise.  The Titan is built at one of the most advanced production lines on the planet. Buy now with confidence!

I think the timing is right to buy now too. Nissan has started the $1000 rebate and a special financing offer.

Carpe Diem!

There is a rumor for 2005 that Nissan is to install a lower grill cover to protect the fan from rocks.

Power rear window?
Gravel guard on the fan?

All good maybe for the truck but given the deal you can drive now on a purchase, what are those options really worth?
