So  far the new purchase has been working out just  fine but I'll list  my thoughts below.

The Truck: 04 King Cab. 2WD, SE, Running boards, 6 disc RF sound, Cargo kit, Captains chairs with power, splash guards, floor mats, big tow, XM, materials rack with basket, wndow tint. That's how it reads on the pricing page so I listed it here. Web page list $29,210 not including materials rack and basket.

The Good: Comfortable to drive, ample room, so far so good.

The Bad: Dealer has not gotten back to me on the rack arrival date, XM install and a couple of q's. Front tires appear to need re balance as it shakes, horn is not tooting both, tint needs put on right window, big ass mirrors are overkill for daily use and getting into the garage, arm rest on captains chair not likely to last, no standard flat pin trailer light plug.

The Ugly; Purchaing it. (not for me but for them!) We took a trip to a local dealer last Sunday to 'consider' buying a new truck. (you know what that means) Had looked at the new F150 but body style alone turned off the wife. Dodge? Rented one a few years ago and frankly it did nothing for me. We bought the Ford soon after....
So after arriving in the 02 Ford we were soon shown around by a helpful guy who showed us the Goods. Soon after we were of course being worked on to buy...cool.
We look at the SE with some of the above options and a window sticker of $30,085.
He suggests the following: Trade in the F150 for $10,500, put down about $4500 and finance for 48m at a cost of $850ea. (LOL, sure.) I tell him that just won't work.

Back to the table for more number crunching. I lay it out for him: Sticker price, AND they install the XM, supply the materials rack, supply the basket kit, pay off the Ford completely, charge no 'fees' and we do 60m for 1.9%apr.  Simple sale: we swap keys and I don't pay a dime.  Hmmm,

Back to the little room for him. He claims the XM install after is going to cost them too much to do, but concedes the rack kit. Split the cost on the XM? Ok, I"ll give in on this one as I would pay $400 to have it elsewhere or do it myself. (interesting the list is that also...but thats already installed) so the price jumps to $30,485. Will I take it? What's this; $299 "doc fee"? It's printed on the paper! Lose it, I don't care if it written in blood. Back to the little room for him....He returns and pulls off the $299 so the bos reads $30,185 less full pay off of Ford (15,500) tax, license, 60m, 1.9 and a monthly of about $560. Damn, just about $5 from what I was paying for the Ford anyhow. Simple huh?  Done.

Bottom line; they'll deel if you push.

* And on the mod list? Fit some PIAA 80 Series lamps on it like I had on the Ford. Custom install on this truck though. That's all.

Have they fixed your horn? did it make this noise all the
time or only when not running?

I am having a problem with the horn when the engine is off.

Thanks,

Both work if you push hard enough. Not the horn problem, seems in the wheel.
